Texas Campers Arrive!

Today’s trip to Colorado was a real blessing, despite an early start in Houston (4 AM thanks Rick)  our young adults were all excited and curious about their mountain adventure. We were a bit concerned that spending 17 hours in a vehicle with 8 teenagers would present some interesting OSN activity . We are here to say that your kids were great.

 It was such a blessing to see these kids, all from different churches, fellowship as one body. We would like to think that our superior camp leadership skills were responsible for this…:-)  but the reality is these kids are using God’s word, they were well-trained and demonstrated some real Christian virtue. All things we hope to sharpen and encourage here at Camp Arete’

Travis Franklin led us in prayer for dinner and Gordon Heslep closed us in group prayer after we arrived safely in Denver

We want to  thank everyone back home who held us in prayer. If you get a chance take a look at this video, it was shot after 997 miles. We only hope the rest of camp is as successful as our journey to Denver.
